Penpedairheol is a village situated in the Rhymney Valleys, South Wales. It is between Pengam, Gelligaer, Bargoed and Hengoed.

Penpedairheol is frequently known as Cascade and is also the home of Cascade YC. Cascade YC run football teams form U7's all the way up to three senior teams, all teams being extremely successful.There are two football fields in Penpedairheol. One of them situated by Dyffryn park and the other by the community centre. Penpedairheol is split up mainly into Dyffryn Park, Old Cascade, Forest Park, Bryn Siriol, Westbury and Glyn-Gaer which is home to Glyn-Gaer primary school and the new Roman Gate housing estate.

It has 2 off licenses, Penpedairheol Central Stores and General Stores (more commonly known as "Tina's"), One post office, two pubs, 'The Plough and Harrow' and 'The Beechgrove', One fish shop 'Ying Wah Fish Bar'. Penpedairheol also has a butcher's shop, a hairdressers and a car garage. All of which (bar Tina's) are situated at Penpedairheol Square.

There is a regualar bus service that runs through Penpedairheol and also a train station close by in Pengam. Penpedairheol also has a community centre which is used for a number of things, such as Meithrin, Jazz Band and also to be rented out for special events. There is an annual Cascade Carnival which is usually held in May/June, it turns out a great crowd and parades floats throughout the streets ending up at Dyffryn Playing Fields where ther is a travelling fair, many stalls and a stage with many events including a live band.
